|This site is named IOLA,
i.e. Interactive Online
Listening Assistant. It
is a City University Teaching Development Fund project aiming to facilitate the independent learning efforts of students taking the Spoken Language course offered by the English Language Centre. |
The listening materials are mostly converted from ELC listening courses developed in the past.
IOLA makes heavy use of the Real Player program, which can be downloaded from http://www.real.com/. Public workstations on campus already have it.
IOLA is best viewed with Internet Explorer and Netscape (v.8), at a screen resolution of 800x600.
